T-Mobile Phones & Plans
T-Mobile has created a hybrid plan
with no contracts. The reason I say hybrid is they offer you a phone with $0
down, but then you pay so much each month for 24 months until the phone is
paid off. Or, you have the option to buy the phone upfront. It has elements
of both prepaid and post paid cell phone service. On top of their new plans
with no contracts, they also offer incredible value with their rate plans
compared to the competition. You can get an unlimited rate plan for just $50
per month. This gives you unlimited talk and text and 500 MB of data. They
also offer a $60 and $70 plan, with the $70 plan giving you unlimited data.
Most people can get by with 500 MB or 2GB on the $60 plan if they use their
own wireless Internet when they are at home.
One of the big rallying cries of their
new plan is unleashing the iPhone on their network saving money every month
over their GSM competitor AT&T. Like AT&T they have a fast 4G network. While
their nationwide coverage area isn’t as big as some of their competitors,
their network has really improved over the past several years. It is
improved so much; I am considering T-Mobile when I change my carrier next.
Bottom line is if you
are on a tight budget, but still want 4G on your phone, T-Mobile is a great
option for you. Check their coverage area to make sure they have good
coverage in your area. If you are in a large market they probably have
excellent coverage. If you are in a rural area, you might have to look
elsewhere. Break free from your contract and give T-Mobile a try. What do
you have to lose?
